Karina Thorne

Karina is an online English tutor, course designer and creative writing enthusiast. She speaks French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese to various degrees of fluency and spent 6 years teaching English in China. She is also a member of a local poetry group and a writing group for mums.

More recently, Karina completed an MA in Digital Technologies for Language Teaching where she designed and led an online course in creative writing for English Language Learners for her dissertation. Following the success of that project, the Share Your Story With Confidence community was born.

SYSWC is an online community of English Language Teachers who want to develop their creative reading, writing and thinking skills so they can feel more positive and courageous sharing their own stories in personal and professional contexts.
