Erin Morgan

Erin grew up in a small monolingual town in rural Maryland, USA. Wanting to explore the world, she began studying Spanish at age 13. Erin studied Arabic and French in college, completed a MA in Islamic History, began a PhD in Iranian Linguistics, and taught Arabic for several years. Throughout her studies, Erin traveled to Peru, Jordan, Israel and Palestine, Armenia, Georgia, the Netherlands, and Belgium. She now works as a translator and private teacher in the US, sharing her love for Western and Central Asia, historical linguistics, and language contact. She also enjoys music, cooking, and her dog, Bella.
